Biographical Data

David Edney has been translating French plays for over fifteen years. His work has been used by professional, community, and university theatres in Canada, the United States, and England. Articles he has written on translating for the theatre appear in Stages of Translation, Absolute Classics (1996), and in Modern Drama (spring 1998).
A Professor of French at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, David Edney is a member of the Playwrights' Union of Canada, the Canadian Actors' Equity Association, and the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television, and Radio Artists.
