Biographical Data

Joan Irving is a translator specializing in film and television (subtitles and narrations; scripts and treatments) and an editor of translations and other works. Educated in Alberta, she has lived and worked in Montreal for over twenty years. She is a script consultant for Telefilm Canada and a long-time collaborator with Kinograph Inc. In addition to film and television writing, her interests include Canadian history, literacy, and English as a second language.

Biographical Data

Myriam Jarsky grew up in Belgium where, following a classical education, she studied and taught Germanic languages before coming to Canada in 1969. A full-time translator of technical and scientific material, she holds an M.A. in Translation from Glendon College and ATIO certification for three language combinations. She is presently studying Spanish and Yiddish.
