Biographical Data

Karen Simon was born in New York City and received her Ph.D. in French literature (17th century) from Tufts University, Medford, Mass. A member of OTIAQ and a former Reader's Digest/Sélection writer, she currently teaches French and translation at Concordia University and Mcgill universities and has translated children's books for Les Éditions Héritage and La Courte Échelle. Aside from translation, Karen Simon teaches Argentine tango at Studio Tango in Montreal and is Vice-President of the Société Culturelle Argentine Québec Canada.
