Biographical Data Susana Wald was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1937. She moved to Toronto in 1970, after living eight years in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and twelve in Santiago, Chile. Since 1994 she spends most of her time in Oaxaxa, in Southern Mexico. She has translated poetry and other texts by Ludwig Zeller. Most of these works were done in collaboration with John Robert Colombo and A.F. Moritz. Two examples of this are: Ludwig Zeller, When the Animal Rises from the Deep the Head Explodes, Mosaic Press/Valley Editions, Oakville, Ontario, 1976 (translation by Susana Wald and John Robert Colombo) 144 p.; Ludwig Zeller, In the Country of the Antipodes, Mosaic Press/Valley Editions, Oakville, Ontario, 1979 (translation by Susana Wald and A.F. Moritz), 174 p. She has also translated the works of Surrealist poets from France. She is the publisher of 45 books in English, French and Spanish, under the name of Oasis Publications, Toronto, between 1974 and 1994 and of a multilingual magazine, called "The Philosophical Egg," also during the same period. At present she is working with Ludwig Zeller on an anthology, in Spanish, of texts by O.W. de Lubicz Milosz, in which there are included several of her own translations. This work, for Editorial Aldus, Mexico, will be published at the end of 1998.
