Biographical Data

Judith Weisz Woodsworth is currently a professor of Modern Languages and Vice-President (Academic) at Mount Saint Vincent University. A teacher of translation for many years at Concordia University, she has written about translation theory, translation history and literary translation, and was the founding president of the Canadian Association for Translation Studies. She is editor (with Jean Delisle) of Translators through History (Amsterdam and Philadelphia: Benjamins, 1995), also published in French as Les traducteurs dans l'histoire and in Portuguese as Os Tradutores Na Historia. In 1997, she published her first translation of a literary work, Still Lives.
