The Banff International Literary Translation Centre (BILTC), North America’s only international residency for literary translators, offers a group of about fifteen translators from around the world an opportunity to work on a current project with consulting translators and their peers in an inspiring and mutually beneficial environment.
The BILTC program welcomes student, emerging and professional translators from the Americas translating literature from around the world, as well as translators from anywhere in the world translating literature from the Americas. The program runs for three weeks and offers a trilingual learning experience (English, French and Spanish). Participants may be eligible for financial assistance.
