Make haste! There are only a few days left to apply to BILTC.

An all-expenses-paid dream vacation for a literary translator: a three-week stay in an idyllic setting in the Canadian Rockies during which you can devote all your time to work, reflection and rewarding exchanges with some fifteen of your colleagues from the four corners of the world… You’ll have no problem finding someone for lengthy discussions on the subtleties of the semicolon with no danger of anyone finding you weird.

Yes, all this is within you reach! You just need to apply for a residency at the Banff International Literary Translation Centre, the only centre of its kind in North America. Among other requirements, you have to translate into French, English or Spanish.

New this year: three applicants at the dawn of their careers (i.e. who have not yet published a book in translation and who are not enrolled in a higher education program) will be accepted. Nor are the emerging translators expected to have a publishing contract or letter of intent for their current project. Please indicate if you are applying as an emerging translator applicant in the SlideRoom portal.
