Words on the Move

Inspired by Translam, a literary translation/public reading (slam) hybrid, Words on the Move calls on two writer/translators (one Francophone and one Anglophone) to translate one of each other’s texts.

Through the association’s website, the members of the public are invited to do the same. Experienced translators and translation aficionados then discuss their versions during a public event. Not only is it a way for everyone to try their hand at literary translation outside the usual framework, academic mileu and/or publishing world, it also leads to their writing being published on LTAC’s website. Guaranteed fun for all!

In 2016-2017, Words on the Move will be organized in five Quebec and New Brunswick cities: Quebec City, Montreal, Gatineau, Sherbrooke and Moncton.

LTAC would like to thank the Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec for supporting the series of Words on the Move events.
