Mouth to mouth
Once again
I'm walking on water
though it's all happening on a train
where it's warm
I know that when my foot touches the ground
the river will open up
everything will fly away
your fingers on my neck will end up strangling me
your eyes won't see me anymore
Despite these prophesies
we stay on the train
for there is nothing to do
but imagine ourselves captive
forever
Take me to pretend
that our feet no longer touch the ground
take me on the ground
take me on the bridge
adrift
You don't know the strength of the current
you know nothing of my cry
my breathing
every time
you must lift your head out of the water
to come to me
Let's imagine a moment
what we would have become
if you had agreed
to hold your breath
you would have known the exhilaration of the depths and the tides
tiny scales would have appeared
around your mouth and seaweed
all through your veins
But you had to open the doors of the train
with all your strength
we have since left reality
must I remind you today
