Krista Darin
Mouth to mouth
I'm walking on water
again
even if it's all in a train
where it's hot
When my foot hits the ground
the waters will part
and I know it will all fade away
your touch on my throat will choke me
your eyes will look right through me
In spite of these omens
we stay in the train
since we can't do a thing
but make believe we are captive
forever
Take me and pretend
we are walking on air
take me on the ground
take me on the bridge
drifting
You don't know the current's strength
you don't know my scream
my breath
you have to raise your head
from the water
each time you come to me
Let's take a moment to imagine
what we would have been
if you had agreed
to hold your breath
you would have been drunk on the depths and the tides
little shells would have appeared around your mouth
and seaweed
along your veins
But you had to wrench open
the doors of the train
that's when we left reality behind
do I have to remind you
