Mouth to Mouth
Once again
I'm walking on water
though it's all taking place on a train
where it's hot
I know that if I set foot on the ground
the dam will burst
everything will be carried away
your fingers on my neck will end up strangling me
your eyes will no longer see me
Despite these prophecies
we stay on the train
because there's nothing for it
but to imagine ourselves captive
forever
Take me and we can pretend
that our feet no longer touch the ground
take me on the ground
take me on the deck
adrift
You don't know the strength of the current
you know nothing of my cry
my breathing
Every time, you must surface
to come to me
Let's imagine for a moment
what we might have become
if you had agreed
to hold your breath
You would have been intoxicated by the deeps and the tides
little scales would have appeared
around your mouth and seaweed
along your veins
But you had to open the train doors
with all your might
Since then we've left reality behind
Do I have to remind you now?
