Her new position having kept Genni busy, her latest translations were published in 2017 in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fantasticfiction.com\/m\/dacia-maraini\/beloved-writing.htm\"><em>Dacia Maraini Beloved Writing: Fifty Years of Engagement<\/em><\/a>, edited and compiled by Michelangelo La Luna. She also translated an excerpt for a memoir, &#8220;The Ship from Kobe.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.attlc-ltac.org\/en\/translator\/david-warriner-en\/\">David Warriner<\/a>&#8216;s first full-length literary translation of Quebec author Roxanne Bouchard\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/crimefictionlover.com\/2018\/04\/we-were-the-salt-of-the-sea\/\"><em>We Were the Salt of the Sea<\/em><\/a> (Nous \u00e9tions le sel de la mer, VLB \u00e9diteur) was published by Orenda Books in the UK last spring, and released in Canada and the US in July. There was a prestigious book launch at Canada House in London in May last year, and both Roxanne and David were in attendance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.attlc-ltac.org\/en\/translator\/arianna-dagnino-en\/\">Arianna Dagnino<\/a> is launching her novel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guernicaeditions.com\/title\/9781771833578\"><em>The Afrikaner<\/em><\/a> that she wrote in Italian and translated into English. A signing and launch will take place in Vancouver on March 29 and April 6, then Montreal, May 2, Ottawa, May 5 and Toronto, May 16.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.attlc-ltac.org\/en\/translator\/susan-ouriou-en\/\">Susan Ouriou<\/a>&#8216;s translation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.formaclorimerbooks.ca\/childrens-and-teens\/Book\/3084\/The-Courage-of-Elfina.html\"><em>The Courage of Elfina<\/em><\/a> by Andr\u00e9 Jacob was published by Lorimer in February and her translations <a href=\"https:\/\/houseofanansi.com\/products\/the-body-of-the-beasts\"><em>The Body of the Beasts<\/em><\/a> by Audr\u00e9e Wilhelmy and <em>Blue Bear Woman<\/em> by <a href=\"http:\/\/virginiabordeleau.ca\/oeuvres_litteraires.html\">Virginia P\u00e9s\u00e9map\u00e9o Bordeleau<\/a> will be published later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Please join us for an evening of conversation, reading, and book signing of award-winning author <a href=\"https:\/\/www.attlc-ltac.org\/en\/translator\/david-homel-en\/\">David Homel<\/a>&#8216;s novel, <a href=\"https:\/\/vehiculepress.blogspot.com\/2019\/03\/david-homels-novel-teardown.html\"><em>The Teardown<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, March 21, from 7 to 9 pm at La Petite Librairie Drawn &amp; Quarterly at 176, Bernard West, Montreal.
