The play is scheduled for production in French at the Jean Duceppe in September 2020.<\/p>\n<p>On the last day of their time together in Quebec, Bobby and Fran\u00e7ois offered a glimpse of their long-standing collaborative process and discussed various challenges of translating for the stage, including the somewhat unusual problem of rendering a play written in French which features American voices. The conversation was hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.attlc-ltac.org\/en\/translator\/sonya-malaborza-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sonya Malaborza<\/a>, LTAC representative for Atlantic Canada, and was recorded in the hope that it might be broadcast more widely in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The event was generously supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/playwrightsguild.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Playwrights Guild of Canada<\/a>\u2019s PlayConnect program, as well as the Maison de la litt\u00e9rature and the Literary Translators Association of Canada, founding partners of this unique translation residency.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":311,"featured_media":5598,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[27],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-5592","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 -
