Notes Biographiques
Beatriz Hausner has translated many works of literature, mostly from Spanish into English, and principally those that define Latin American surrealism. She is the current President of the Literary Translators’ Association and was one of the founders of the Banff International Literary Translation Centre. Hausner’s poetry collections include Enter the Raccoon (2012), Sew Him Up (2010) and The Wardrobe Mistress (2003). Her books have been translated into several languages, including Spanish, her mother tongue (La costurera y el muñeco viviente, 2012), and French (La Couturière et l’homme-poupée, 2014). She is a respected literary editor and was one of the publishers of Quattro Books. She was Chair of the Public Lending Right Commission.
