(Santa Clara, Cuba, 1976) Translator, essayist and editor, Ariel Pérez Rodríguez, has lived in Montreal since 2010. Member of the Union des écrivaines et des écrivains québécois . President and co-founder of the Hispanic Jules Verne Society, as well as Honorary Member and member of the Board of Directors of the Jules Verne International Center in Amiens. Since 2001, he has devoted himself to the research of life and work of the French writer Jules Verne. Creator of the literary magazine Mundo Verne , of which he is the director and publisher. On the subject, he has published several articles in French, Spanish and English. He has published four literary essays, Viaje al centro del Verne desconocido, Jules Verne: dos siglos después, Entrevistas con Jules Verne and Jules Verne dans le Figaro Illustré. Then, five other books with translations of unpublished stories in Spanish, the most recent of which is Una fantasía del doctor Ox, published in 2022, in Spain.
