The Literary Translators’ Association of Canada is proud to make our Model Contract available to all translators for free. Originally drafted by entertainment and copyright lawyer Marian Hebb, in conjunction with former LTAC president Phyllis Aronoff, this contract has been updated and revised over the years in order to keep up with the ever-evolving nature of the publishing industry. The latest revisions were made in the summer of 2020 by Hebb’s law partner Warren Sheffer, who specializes in intellectual property and business law practice. The contract is also available in French here.
