(Santa Clara, Cuba, 1976) Translator, essayist and editor, Ariel Pérez Rodríguez, has lived in Montreal since 2010. Member of the Union des écrivaines et des écrivains québécois . President and co-founder of the Hispanic Jules Verne Society, as well as Honorary Member and member of the Board of Directors of the Jules Verne International Center in Amiens. Since 2001, he has devoted himself to the research of life and work of the French writer Jules Verne. Creator of the literary magazine Mundo Verne , of which he is the director and publisher. On the subject, he has published several articles in French, Spanish and English. He has published five books, the most recent of which are Jules Verne dans le Figaro Illustré, Jules Verne: un viaje extraordinario and Carnets de voyage de Jules Verne: Amérique. Then, six other books with translations of unpublished texts in Spanish, the most recent of which is Un cura en 1835, published in 2024, in Spain.
