About / Bio
Felicia Mihali is a journalist, a novelist, and a teacher living in Montréal. She has studied French, English, Chinese and Dutch, and has specialized in postcolonial literature. She writes in French and in English. Her first book in French, Le Pays du fromage, was published in 2002 by XYZ Éditeur, followed by six other novels. In 2012, she published her first book in English, The Darling of Kandahar, which was inspired by a news item reported in Maclean’s magazine. The book was nominated for Canada Reads in 2013 and translated into Italian. After A Second Chance came out in April 2014 and translated into Romanian, her most recent novel Pineapple Kisses in Iqaluit was published in 2021. Since 2018 she is the founder and president of Hashtag Publishing.
