A Certified Translator (ATIO, OTTIAQ) and seasoned copy editor, Joanie Demers graduated summa cum laude with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English-Spanish-French Translation from the University of Ottawa. She then completed a Master of Arts at the University of Montréal, where she pursued her interest in First Nations’ literature. She has since participated in numerous art publications (exhibition or auction catalogues, artist monographs, and a quarterly magazine) as a translator, copy editor, and sometimes contributor.
