About / Bio
Judith Weisz Woodsworth is Professor of translation and translation studies in the Département d’études françaises at Concordia University. Her research has focused on French literature, literary translation, and translation theory and history. Most noted for Translators through History (with Jean Delisle), her monograph Telling the Story of Translation: Writers Who Translate was published in 2017 by Bloomsbury, and her edited volume The Fictions of Translation will be released by John Benjamins Publishing in Februrary 2018. She was founding president of the Canadian Association for Translation Studies, of which she is an honorary member.
