About / Bio
Born in Montreal, Pierre Corbeil pursued a course of Classical Studies, upon completion of which he was offered a position as a literary translator in Paris. After 10 years in Europe, where he trained many other translators, he returned to Canada, undertook to broaden his expertise through further university studies, and founded with one of his sons a translation firm, Soludoc, in which he held the presidency for nearly a decade. He now continues his career as a literary translator and language consultant for a variety of government departments and agencies as well as publishing houses and technical and commercial organizations.
