About / Bio
Born in Winnipeg, Paul Ruban is an author, screenwriter and literary translator. His writing has appeared in various collective works and journals such as Les écrits, Mœbius, XYZ and Zinc. Crevaison en corbillard (Flammarion Québec), his debut collection of short stories, received the 2020 Trillium Book Award. His French translation of Coconut Dreams, by Derek Mascarenhas, was shortlisted for the 2022 John Glassco Prize. His subtitling work has led him to collaborate on projects namely for CBC/Radio-Canada, TIFF and ARTE. He splits his time between Canada and Germany.
