Winter Trad / Transe hivernale is right around the corner! As part of the Salon du livre de Montréal programming, the LTAC invites you to a friendly, festive, and generous literary event!

On the menu for this happy hour, open to all…

  1. Readings by actors of excerpts from recent translations by our members (thanks to those who sent us their texts!)
  2. A sale of your books to benefit the Fondation pour l’alphabétisation du Québec! Bring the new books you want to donate – those you have translated, for example, but not necessarily. As part of the foundation’s The Gift of Reading campaign, the proceeds from these sales will be donated to the Fondation pour l’alphabétisation. MOREOVER, for every dollar raised, a group of publishers will donate a new children’s book to the Foundation. Your books will go far! The holidays are quickly approaching… Here’s a great opportunity to give clear your bookshelf, find the perfect gift for your loved ones, and treat children who are in the midst of learning the great love of our lives: reading! You can pay for your purchases in cash or through the Foundation’s platform. (Please bring only new books to be sold!) You can’t make it on November 18? What a pity… You can still participate in this great surge of generosity via LTAC landing page on the Foundation’s platform.
  3.  All in all… a lot of joy and the pleasure of reuniting with your friends and peers!

Where? When?
La Cale, La Cale – pub zéro déchet!
6839 Saint-Hubert Street, Montreal (Quebec) H2S 2M7 (a stone’s throw from the Beaubien and Jean-Talon metros)
Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm…
