Literary translators and translation enthusiasts!

Don’t miss the inaugural event by the informal activities committee of the Montréal chapter of the Literary Translator’s Association of Canada (LTAC)!

When? Where? For who? Why?

WHEN?

Wednesday, December 4, 2019, 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

WHERE?

The wonderful bar Station Ho.st (Papineau metro)

We have a private room reserved, and drinks and food will be on offer.

1494 Ontario St. E., Montréal, H2L 1S3 – http://stationhost.ca/

FOR WHO?

Literary translators, editors, book lovers and readers of literature in translation…

The event is open to everyone; bring your friends!

Most importantly… WHY?

… to meet up or meet again, have a drink and catch up!

… to be part of a gift exchange*!

… to enjoy performances by fellow translators!

… to join in (if you like) on a translation chain dreamed up especially for you by the activities committee!

… to celebrate our love of translation and literature!

* Participation in the gift exchange is totally voluntary… there’s no obligation! The idea is simple: you bring a translated book with you–translated by you or by someone else–and we’ll give you a ticket in return. When your ticket is drawn, you’ll get to pick another translated book to take home and enjoy!

Admission is free… Mark it in your calendar now!

And spread the word!
