Sonya Malaborza‘s L’accoucheuse de Scots Bay had a virtual launch on May 14. Over 30 spectators were treated to an engaging discussion between the translator and executive director of the Frye Festival, Danielle Leblanc. Published by Prise de Parole, Sonya’s book has already been lauded by Chantal Fontaine at l’Association des libraires du Québec!

Ariel Pérez Rodríguez‘s Spanish translation of Jules Verne’s Edgar Allan Poe Y Sus Obras, the French writer’s only literary essay, was published by Archivos Vola in Spain. For more information on the book, click here.

Four of Diana Manole‘s translations of poems by Claudiu Komartin were published this spring: “twelve lines to drive fear away, twelve seconds to the light’s disappearance” and “Getting Ready for the Centennial of the October Revolution” in issue 8/ Spring 2020 of The Arkansas International of the University of Arkansas’s Program in Creative Writing & Translation; and two in Asymptote:“Emily’s Eyes over Amherst” and “Untitled.”

Le chien explosif, his French translation of Australien writer Henry Lawson’s short story “The Loaded dog”  is appearing in L’Ampoule, no 7, 15 juin, pp. 54-60.

Tout ce que tu as laissé will appear on Le crachoir de Flaubert on Thursday June 18, 2020. It is the French translation of Sharon Bala’s “All that you Left”, which appeared in This Great Society is Going Smash, April 27, 2012.
